July 10, 2016 - Lutheran–And Proud of It!

We’ve all had that experience–we’ve been in a conversation that gives us an opportunity to talk about our faith, but we’re not sure what we should say. And yet, the apostle Peter says, “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you”. (1 Peter 3:15, ESV)

In an effort to help our members speak to family and friends about their faith, we encouraged them to ask us, “How do I speak to my friends about...?” These sermons are apologetic, which doesn’t mean that we are sorry for what we believe and teach. It comes from the Greek word, which actually means, “to give a defense.”

It is our prayer that these sermons will assist you as we share with others our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Know this, too–that it is the Holy Spirit who works, to bring His Word to the hearts of people as we share the hope in us!
