September 28, 2025 – The Love of Your Life

Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 21-C) – 1 Timothy 6:6–19

“Money is the root of all evil”. Many people think that is what the Bible says. Actually we are told that “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” (1 Timothy 6:10, ESV)

While so many do love money, thinking it will make all the difference in this world, there is a love greater that will give you the best of both worlds—the love we have in Christ and for Christ will bless us now, and we can take that love with us into the joy of eternal blessings far beyond anything we can even begin to imagine. That, dear friends, is a treasure indeed.
