August 31, 2025 – The Perfect Pastor

Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 17-C) – Hebrews 7:23–28

As we continue in these vacancy days, and as we look to issuing a new call for a shepherd to guide our congregation, it is good to remember the gift that God has given in pastor, yet also to acknowledge that there has only been one perfect Pastor and Shepherd–the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet we do remember that we are to pray for our pastors, support them and thank God for the work they do in His name.
