January 2, 2022 – A Better Place to Be
Second Sunday after Christmas (Series C) – Luke 2:40-52
After Jesus cleansed the temple early in His ministry, we are told: “His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”” (John 2:17, ESV)
That zeal for God’s house was evident throughout Christ’s life. We see that in the boy Jesus at the temple. We learn from His zeal the blessings of being in God’s house to hear His Word; to be close to our Father; to share in the blessings we have in the Son, and to know the comfort of the Holy Spirit. There is no better place to be!
